November 27, 2018
Casey and Mike’s Cross Creek Ranch Texas Wedding took place on a frigid November day, but it was OK because we all like the cold! I have greatly enjoyed working with them over this past year, and it seems like every time these two come to town, the weather cools itself off. We ended up doing two short engagement sessions because it was freezing for our first outdoor session (never mind the fact that I kept calling Mike “Matt”), so we ended up booking an indoor studio for session number two in April (which was still freezing, rainy, and cold). Luckily for the wedding day, no rain was in the forecast! Their wedding had many lovely Jewish elements as well. They got married under a Chuppah made by Casey’s great-grandmother, and the Ketubah ceremony was heartfelt, intimate, and joyous. There was the breaking of the glass after the ceremony and the Jewish chair dance as well. The color palette of deep burgundy, blush, and navy created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Hand warmers helped, too!
Cold day, warm hearts, impeccable music taste (their last private dance song was to “Higher Ground” by Odesza – one of my favorite songs this year, so beautiful). Congratulations you two!
