Jessica and Chris’ Texas Hill Country Wedding

Jessica and Chris’s Texas Hill Country wedding took place in Mason, Texas at the Alamo Resort and Dancehall. I have a lot of feelings about this wedding, so y’all buckle up. We first worked with this lovely family back when Courtney, Jessica’s sister, got married to Buck back in 2014. I will say this over and over because it’s true: there is nothing better than being asked to return to document another milestone for the same family. Their families once again welcomed us with open arms.

This was Nick’s first wedding back with me after his accident earlier this summer. Jessica contacted me about a week after it happened and asked if I ever travel for weddings, and if I’d be willing to come out to Mason, TX. I don’t think I’ve told her this, but I definitely cried after receiving her message. I was raw and my life was upside down, and the encouragement (really just the fact that someone wants to work with us again) was an indescribable feeling.

Fast forward to Jessica and Chris’ actual wedding day. It was an extremely cool temperature day (which was wonderful). However, the Llano River was flooded from an unseasonable amount of rain. A 20 minute drive to the venue turned into an almost two hour drive both ways for us and most of the guests. Needless to say, it was a very “go with the flow” wedding day and Jessica and Chris took it all in stride. After a white knuckle drive back late at night (we are suburbanites through and through), we spent most of the day after napping and having a glass of hill country wine.

Congratulations Jessica, Chris, and little Ashlyn on officially tying the knot and your future together. We are over the moon for y’all!
