Kristen and Julian’s Wedding
The Marty Leonard Chapel is a stunning work of architecture/art located in Fort Worth. I have been fortunate enough to photograph several lovely weddings there of all shapes and sizes. We even got to see two of our close friends get married there in 2013! It’s a stunning venue that can accommodate a large or intimate wedding.
Kristen and Julian were married in front of their dearest friends and family members. I’ve known Kristen since moving into the dorms (way too long ago now) at UT Arlington. It was a true honor to be chosen to photograph her and Julian’s wedding journey. The day started by photographing some simply lovely details. Their ceremony was short, sweet, and officiated by Kristen’s family pastor (which added a very personal touch). We had more than enough time for family portraits and were able to head over to the Kimbell Art Museum for a few more bride and groom portraits after shooting at the chapel! The reception was at Texas de Brazil (YUM!) and was as easy going as the whole wedding day was.
Congratulations to Kristen and Julian as they venture out into the next chapter of their life!
I may start repeating myself, but I think it’s so important for modern couples to keep their wedding true to themselves. Kristen and Julian wanted no fuss and to enjoy their wedding their own way.
Our first Marty Leonard Chapel wedding took place in 2013. It’s always an amazing experience to return to a venue after several years with more knowledge (and better equipment!). Like any craft, photography is definitely a journey of constant growth and change.
