Spring and Summer Updates
It has been an absolutely crazy few months for us! From May-July, Nick and I packed up the cats, the camera gear, the musical gear, and everything else and moved into a fantastic little house. We also got to photograph some amazing weddings (one of which I’m hard at work editing at the moment!).
I was super excited to photograph the supermoon in our new backyard a few weeks ago and even managed to capture a bit of “moon glare”! Nature truly is wonderful.
During our main moving week in May, my dad and his fellow band directors at Plano East Senior High School accepted a major award, the Sudler Shield from the John Phillip Sousa Foundation! I brought my camera and captured a few moments from the awards ceremony. I was a very proud daughter :)
Our cats, Niles and George, were initially freaked out by the move, but I’m pretty sure they made themselves fully comfortable even before we did!
They love lounging in this chair in my office while I edit photos :)
We have many nerdy nick-nacks that are on proud display now. Having more room is great!
Lindby started practicing at our house as well. I had rented an awesome lens for a wedding and tested it out on them :)
Speaking of Lindby, it was an absolute joy to watch them accept their Fort Worth Weekly Music Award for Best Pop Act this past Sunday at the Queen City Music Hall in Sundance Square! NBD guys! Here are a few photographs from their show a few weeks ago at The Capitol Bar in Fort Worth:
It’s always great when Doug Funnie makes an appearance to rap about video games and other nerdy things!
I am in the process of setting up a studio in the garage (so exciting!), planning some fabulous bridal shoots with some super sweet brides, and am finishing up editing a wedding from the Texas Ranger’s Stadium to publish in a few days!
Feel free to follow and connect with me on Instagram for more behind the scenes photographs and, of course, more photographs of the cats :)
