Melanie and Todd’s Fort Worth Engagement Session
Melanie and Todd’s engagement session was super fun. We couldn’t have asked for better weather conditions for January given that it was a breezy 75 degrees outside! Nick and I met up with them at Reata in downtown Fort Worth before they opened the rooftop for the evening, so it was a great opportunity to capture them in a gorgeous, romantic, rooftop setting with the Fort Worth skyline in the background.
Maybe it’s a little cheesy, but it truly is special to me that my job is photographing people in love. :)
After some fabulous rooftop portraits, we headed over to a Starbucks in a nearby Barnes & Noble (which happens to be the exact spot where they had their first date!). Melanie shared with us that a seemingly simple cup of coffee turned into a five hour conversation, and next thing you know, they’re getting married!
This sweet “pinky promise” photograph may have been an idea inspired from Pinterest, to which I am mildly to extremely addicted (it’s an addiction of photography history/inspiration though – and of course all of the amazing recipes!). Feel free to follow me and share ideas!
Melanie is quite crafty, and I love that they brought this super sweet frame with their wedding date to incorporate in their photographs.
And finally, we headed over to the T&P train station which runs all the way from Fort Worth to Dallas. Railroad tracks are such an iconic setting – both so modern and yet full of history.
Y’all are TOO cute! Is that even possible? I say yes.
Melanie and Todd, thanks so much for choosing us to document and capture your wedding day. Nick and I had so much fun getting to know y’all, and it is a true honor being able to record the love you two have for each other.
We have two weddings coming up this weekend, so I’ll be busy posting sneak peeks and previews on my facebook page in the next few weeks! It’s all very exciting around here :)
