Ali and Kyle’s Engagement Session
Nick and I have been very good friends with Ali and Kyle for the past few years given that they also went to UTA (where we first met them) and are both members of Lindby. Kyle is an excellent bassist/music theorist, and Ali totally rocks some amazing vocals/keys. I could listen to her soulful voice in Deadlights over and over! If you enjoyed that, Ali and Kyle’s musical talents are also featured on Here We Are Now, and Black Coffee. Black Coffee is available for free download, too!
(I highly recommend having the previous songs playing in the background while exploring the rest of this post as the smooth waves of jazz and soul will perfectly accompany the following photos.)
I primarily have photographed Ali and Kyle during Lindby shows, so getting the chance to record their love for each other made this experience that much more special. They are such a joyful, creative, and silly couple, which made for a very comedic and enjoyable shoot.
At Ali and Kyle’s request, we located a fantastic playground in Highland Village known as Kids’ Kastle, which I felt was perfect for their personalities.
No big deal or anything, but there was totally a rocket ship.
And a car!
And a pirate ship! You can just picture hearing Ali declare, “I’m flying, Jack!”
We then had an adventure with off-camera lighting in a small neighborhood park.
Aren’t they just so cute?
Running in the woods! Y’all make it look good. :)
A million thanks to Ali and Kyle for choosing us to record their special day. Nick and I are so excited for your wedding, and I’m going to try my hardest to not be teary-eyed, so I can have a clear view through my view finder!
